CIOMR Workshops

Starting at the Ghent Congress (2005), CIOMR has run a number of workshops in order to provide to all interested medical officers additional training that is not readily available elsewhere.

On Monday  03 Aug 08  two workshops will be held at the Military Medical Academy in Sofia :

- Workshop "Get acquainted with MIMMS"

- Workshop "Obstetric Emergencies in an Austere Environment"

A workshop "Get acquainted with MIMMS (Major Incident Medical Management and Support" will be held before the Istanbul meeting, on Tuesday 08 July 2008 with support from the Turkish Reserve Officers Association (TESUD).

CIOMR – Workshop : Management of Obstetric Emergencies in an Austere Environment

Riga, Latvia

Following the successful British led Neurosurgical Skills workshop in Ghent 2005, a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event occurring in conjunction with the annual summer CIOMR summer meeting scheduled for Viterbo 2006 was planned. It was allow clinicians to reaffirm some military medicine skills, focusing on the relevant military topic: Resuscitations.

Instructors were :

CIOMR organized its first workshop neurosurgery at the CIOMR Summer Congress in Ghent in co-operation with Lt Col P.A. Stanworth, the University of Ghent – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - and the Royal Belgian Medical Military Reserves Association.
