CIOMR – Workshop : Management of Obstetric Emergencies in an Austere Environment
Members of the medical services will frequently be faced with Obstetric problems on Peace Keeping and Humanitarian Operations. Because of increasing specialisation few will have experience of management of such situations. The course is intended to fill this gap and cover the management of life threatening Obstetric emergencies in an austere environment as seen on these missions. It is intended to assist Military medics, particularly Doctors and Nurses, or any other medical personnel who may be involved.
The course has now run for 5 years with two workshops each year with excellent appraisals.
